With PURA VIDA and “LIFT” into working life

Pura Vida Privatschule St. Gallen - Projekttage
With great pleasure, on December 7, 2016, the principal of PURA VIDA, Reto Fürst, signed the membership to the nationally recognized youth project LIFT for career choice. LIFT stands for “capable through individual support and practical activity” and thus corresponds to the guiding principle of the PURA VIDA school. All students of PURA VIDA School should have an optimal follow-up solution into professional life after the end of compulsory education. The aim of PURA VIDA is therefore to prepare young people at an early stage for the time after school. The concept: Young people with a difficult starting position for choosing a career are recorded in the 7th school year. By the end of the 8th grade year, they are carefully introduced to the world of work alongside their regular classes and are ready for a successful apprenticeship search. At weekly workplaces (WAP), they regularly perform simple productive tasks for 2 to 3 hours per week in their free time and receive a small hourly wage from the company in return. Appraisal interviews also help them become more and more comfortable. They are prepared for their assignments, supervised and coached in their search for an apprenticeship. PURA VIDA and “LIFT” are looking forward to an exciting and successful cooperation.
