PURA VIDA is a state-approved private school and offers kindergarten and the 1st to 10th school year in the context of public and private training offerings in Eastern Switzerland.
The private school is designed to identify and promote the competencies and strengths of the children and young people entrusted to us accordingly. The elementary school curriculum provides the basis for our concept. Our range of services goes beyond official school years and provides young people with individual support for the next phase of their lives.
PURA VIDA literally means “pure life” — two small words with great meaning. They represent the philosophy of our learning concept, which is full of joy, curiosity and openness to new things. Enjoying learning, maintaining and developing it: this is what PURA VIDA is all about.
At PURA VIDA School, the focus is on joy, respect and personal responsibility. We meet on equal terms and create a learning environment in which children and young people feel safe, seen and taken seriously. Personal initiative, creativity and team spirit shape our everyday school life — because learning should not only impart knowledge, but also shape personality. We believe that every child has the potential to actively and independently shape their future.
We want to get children and young people on their way, accompany them and shape their individual journey with our support.
We believe that the joy of learning is the basis for successful learning.
We recognize the potential of each individual young person and want to develop and promote them.
We see ourselves as a service provider and want to benefit young people and parents as much as possible. We try to make optimal use of and use the resources available in the triangular relationship between school and adolescent parents. Supervision and support beyond the compulsory school years can be an expression of this.
As a state-approved private school, we provide compulsory teaching content. The implementation of the elementary school curriculum as well as the openness to other innovative learning concepts are an expression of our philosophy.
We expressly seek cooperation with parents. We see parents and ourselves as a team that together supports the personal development of children and young people.
By visiting and getting to know companies, we want to promote entrepreneurial skills — in two senses. The proximity to business and the lively exchange with companies enable us to prepare young people for life “after school.” The location of our school location allows us to exchange ideas intensively with leading companies in Eastern Switzerland.
We promote social skills. It is the focus and should be lived in everyday life. Particular emphasis is placed on dealing with each other and with each other.
We regard the support of young people as a key factor; individually for each student and type of learner, with the option of 1:1 supervision to self-organized learning. This means that our school is open to all types of learners and levels of learning. The performance concept is also individually based on the individual young person and their abilities.
We maintain close contact and exchange with other innovative learning institutions at home and abroad and want to ensure continuous development of our concept.
We are a learning organization. Our concept is integrated into everyday life and is lived out. As a school and learning organization, we must and can develop and change — and constantly learn in the process.
Our international team brings together diverse perspectives, cultures and educational approaches. With commitment, heart and intercultural experience, our teachers support children on their individual learning journey. Together, we create an inspiring environment that promotes openness and global thinking.
