In line with the carnival, the children from kindergarten to 2nd grade learned about clowns, circus life and tricks. As an introduction to the topic, a story was read together, which was about clowns. Afterwards, the children prepared various tricks in groups of three for a circus performance. A few days later, the children put on another performance, even transforming themselves into clowns and animals. On Dirty Thursday, the children came to school dressed up. Some of them had their faces painted again and then proudly presented their great costumes. Afterwards, the children danced and played “Journey to Jerusalem” at the same time. Because they had not yet had enough of dancing, they continued dancing behind an illuminated screen – a lively shadow theater was created. The next day, to conclude the theme, the children painted clowns with finger paints, thus rounding off the theme of carnival at PURA VIDA.
