Dirty Thursday February 2020

Pura Vida Privatschule St. Gallen - Projekttage
What a “crime” that was! ???? In fact, quite criminal… Who is who here? – After the kids (and also the teachers ????) had admired each other’s costumes and made sure who was hiding behind the imaginative disguises, it was time for Dirty Thursday – or Schmudo – at PURA VIDA. Who is the culprit here? And what was the crime? The kids were challenged to think up a criminal case in groups, act it out and edit the scenes into an exciting short film with the help of a film editing program. Full of zest for action, ideas were exchanged and discussed. Opinions and objections were closely scrutinized and those who showed creativity and team spirit in jointly developing a criminal story were on the right track. Strengthened by the sweet “Berliner”, the discussion continued after the break: analyses of the challenges in implementation brought important clues for the further hunt for the most original case. Overcoming these obstacles, combined with patience and skill in finalization, ultimately decided a successful story. In the end, all the “solved cases” could be presented in front of the eager audience. The atmosphere was humorous and joyful – and some tension before the decision, which team had probably created the most spectacular short film, was also noticeable. Pride, fun and mutual appreciation during the film screenings underlined the super results. It’s hard to believe what the kids worked on together as a team during two lessons: fabulous … … and until almost the end it remained a mystery to which group the award for the most original crime story would go – pure suspense. The PURA VIDA Schmutziger-Donnerstag-Schmudo program finally came to an end with the film awards, the announcement of the most imaginative costumes and a big applause for all. What a day that was! Indeed quite criminal – and original ????
