Friday morning was a hit,
‘cos Santa brought us joy and sweets,
Mandarins infused the air, chocolates, nuts were there to share,
While we munched and laughed away, Santa played his role and said:
“Don’t forget to smile and give all your loved ones help in need,
Remain gentle, tell the truth and be good, cos it has use.
Can you teach me one or two words of goodness I should do?”
All the kids were shouting out words about the good and right,
Santa was impressed for sure as he listened out in awe.
Mesmerised by such good nature, turned around and faced the teachers,
Frowned, suspicious of their care towards children to be fair.
It was time to say goodbye, but the air smelled so high, all infused with good and glee,
Santa Claus left full of joy, PURA VIDA school had won, surely not only his heart,
But their parents’ ones as well …
