Mathematics & Art combined
The fact that mathematics and art are only seemingly two completely different subject areas is experienced by the students of the 5th and 6th grade as part of several projects focusing on “math and art.” In these math-art collaborative projects, children demonstrate their knowledge of math and geometry by creating art. The students try out mathematical laws in art themselves and emulate the great models from times long past.
Fascination and amazement are frequent reactions to the self-made experiences of the projects. A lot of perseverance, persistence, creativity and accuracy is required if you want to create art yourself with the help of mathematical rules and laws. The results are quite impressive.
I wonder if new artists or mathematicians will be born here?
